PositionAircraft Mechanic II 23022 - Machinist - Jacksonville
The Aircraft Mechanic II maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components, applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation, and applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals.

Duties and responsibilities
Contractor personnel shall have at least two years of documented experience in Aerospace and/or machinist trade. The Contractor shall provide certification to the COR of this experience during the first 30 days of performance and/or upon hiring. Contractor personnel shall set up and operate all types of conventional machines, computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines and related equipment in the manufacture, rework, and repair of aircraft parts and components. Contractor personnel shall set up and perform machining operation on conventional and CNC machine tools such as grinders, milling machines, lathes, and drills. Contractor personnel shall set up and operate 2, 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centers, electrical discharge machines, electron beam welders, electrolytic chemical grinders, and CBC grinders,. Contractor personnel shall use a variety of machine tool attachments or related equipment to perform precision machine work; maintain accuracy in accordance with requirements of blueprints, drawings, sketches, work documents, aircraft technical documents, manuals, bulletins, and directives; produce assigned work in accordance with established standard; and perform all work in compliance with all safety rules and regulations in the production shop environment.

High school diploma or equivalent

Aircraft maintenance environment
In and around aircraft and ground support equipment, maybe subject to loud noises, exhaust fumes, dust, extreme weather conditions
Must be able to work all shifts as needed, shift times/ work weeks may be altered to meet customer requirements with minimum amount of notification
Must be able to safely move about in aircraft maintenance environment
Must be able to sit, stand, squat, walk, and talk for extended periods during an 8 hour shift
Reports directly to the Working Lead and Site Supervisor.
