The Clinical Coordinator supervises the daily activities of assigned radiology staff.
Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.
Trains, coaches, and evaluates assigned staff on performance expectations. Applies progressive discipline when appropriate. Participates in hiring and termination procedures.
Coordinates patient care with other members of the healthcare team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Assists with quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
Reviews and interprets insurance policy guidelines to identify criteria for surgery and screen patients to ensure they meet criteria, obtains insurance authorizations and coordinates with insurance providers to determine eligibility and benefit requirements.
Prepares, develops and updates instructional materials, policies, learning outcomes, examinations and other program development and evaluation materials.
Coordinates clinical education by directly observing students in the clinical sites as they interact with patients and members of the allied health profession, in accordance with JRCERT standards.
Develops and coordinates bi-annual clinical committee meetings to maintain staff development and knowledge of program mission and goals, requirements and updates.
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Registered Radiology Technician credentialed from the Florida Department of Health, licensure or eligible.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Bachelor's Level Degree
- 2+ years experience as a clinical instructor or clinical committee member required.
