Kelly Services Industrial Engineer in Jacksonville, Florida
Kelly Services is currently looking to hire an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to work for one of our top Pharma clients in Jacksonville, FL.
This position is responsible for the tracking, analysis, escalation, and cost containment for all materials provided by, or through, Operations Support. Those materials include, but are not limited to: Monomers, Resins, Spare Parts, warehoused materials, hydration fluids, process waters, packing solutions, and spent materials for the local production facility, as well as for any other facilities served. This role is expected to provide a time-sensitive dashboard of the inventory status and investment in these materials utilizing current and future management and financial reporting software programs. This role is responsible for reviewing all inventory levels and future shipment plans as compared to production forecasts and recommend changes that will improve material availability, utilization, and total cost of delivery / storage. To perform these responsibilities, the incumbent must demonstrate excellent computer software utilization, analysis, communication, and influence skills at all levels of the organizations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily analysis of supply tactical and strategic requirements for all materials, rolled up in visible dashboard with clear metrics in manner that meets company standards.
Planning and coordination of detailed operational activities through the leadership group to ensure the required level of service provided to the customer is commensurate with the goals, guidelines, and objectives of the Organization.
Manage / Influence available resources to achieve a reliable, efficient and productive operation, providing oversight and direction to support groups to optimize smooth flow of materials
Develop and implement new ideas focused on continuous process improvement, cost containment and efficiency.
Facilitate cross functional teams where applicable to achieve site goals and objectives
Maintaining and growing relationships with all influential levels of internal /external customers
Contribute to control of material expiration concerns and overstocking of items, including contingency plans.
Identify, and facilitate (as required) relevant site material supply projects including the project scope, expected results, determination of the costs and benefits, and final project close-out. Ensure that assigned projects are completed within schedule and budget. Coordinate efforts between the department and other functions within the company to remain in compliance with all regulatory agencies and policies and procedures.
Ensure that all company policy requirements relating to safety, health, environment, and quality policies are carried out within the warehouse and manufacturing support areas.
Engineering degree required (preferably in industrial or manufacturing)
2-3 years minimum experience
Experience leading supply/logistics projects
Experience with process improvement and cost containment required
