GP Canada Co, A division of GP Strategies, requires a dynamic, motivated, results-oriented individual for a Lead Instructional Designer position. This position is a full-time term employment, starting as soon as possible until end of 2018, with the possibility of renewal of additional one-year term(s).
The instructional designer must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to provide the full spectrum of services including conducting training needs analyses, and design and storyboarding for eLearning projects. Projects will be in support of the IT group within a financial organization. The ID will also be leading a small team of IDs. Our ideal candidates have more than five years’ experience designing and developing custom e-Learning and/or blended learning solutions.
A degree in a related field (Educational Technology, Education, or Instructional Design).
Five or more years’ experience analyzing, designing and developing engaging and interactive eLearning solutions.
Experience designing learning solutions for technical content.
Solid consulting skills and experience interacting directly with internal clients, project teams and Subject Matter Experts, and managing relationships.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of project team.
Experience project managing eLearning projects.
Proven ability to work within allocated budgets & timelines while remaining organized.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize with little direction.
Keen attention to detail and diligently practices quality control checks.
Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning standards (AICC/SCORM).
As well as the skills and attributes listed above, the following are considered an asset:
Previous experience working with clients in the financial sector.
Experience working in Storyline or other authoring tools to develop eLearning solutions.
Previous experience leading and/or coaching other IDs.
