Job Description

Job Summary:

Evaluates and treats patients requiring speech-language therapy.


  • Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.

  • Educates and counsels patient and family regarding treatment plans.

  • Maintains clinical records and follows performance improvement recommendations.

  • Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from speech therapy services. Provides information regarding appropriate support programs.

  • Acts as a clinical instructor to affiliating students.

  • Assesses patient condition, develops a plan of care, implements treatment for the established problems, and documents in a thorough manner.

  • Presents one literature review, case study, or in-service to the dept 1x annually.

  • Utilizes time effectively and meets productivity expectations.



  • Required Credential(s):

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Certified Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association . (ASHA) Certification of Clinical Competence or completing a Clinical Fellowship year required.


  • Master's Level Degree

  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology requiredPrevious SLP experience preferred
