Provides distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist.
Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
Repackages bulk medications.
Receives and stores incoming supplies.
Compounds IV medications, Chemotherapy and Total Parenteral Nutrition products under the direct supervision of a pharmacist according to hospital policy and procedures.
Assists with daily medication deliveries and maintenance of adequate stock in automated dispensing cabinets.
Triage department telephone calls for staffing Pharmacist and daily workflow.
Assists with maintaining Bar Code Medication Administration Requirements.
One or more of the following:
Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy Registered PharmacyTechnician Training Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date, that is active and in good standing.
Licensed Pharmacy Intern credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy Registered Pharmacy Technician Training Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program approved by the Florida Board of Pharmacy required Pharmacy Technicians registered in Florida prior to January 1, 2011 are exempt from the Florida Board of Pharmacy approved tech training requirement, so long as the registration was kept active and in good standing after that date
