The Challenge

This position is a key contract National Account Sales position within GE’s Appliance Contract Sales Organization. Responsibilities include: manage the Hospitality growth in the Southeast portion of the United States, including Direct National Accounts, National Distributors and key regional customers. In addition, the role responsibility encompasses helping to support the Area Sales Managers, Region Manager and Direct Sales Managers in growing GE’S Air Conditioning business in the Hospitality market. Preferred location is Orlando, Atlanta or Charlotte.

What you will Do

Essential Responsibilities

  • Execute and deliver all sales & margin operating plan goals with appliances in the Hospitality and PTAC markets for the South Central Region and select National accounts outside the South Central Region

  • Work with the Field and Direct Sales team to optimize sales volume and margin

  • Support the Direct Sales Managers and Area Sales Managers on customer quotes to maximize margin

  • Support National shows and large Regional Hospitality Shows

  • Train customers, GE Sales Force and the Direct Sales team on GE products and services

  • Manage National PTAC Distributors with focus on growing GE sales volume, penetration and margin.

  • Identify new business opportunities and develop marketing and sales strategies to grow the territory with an awareness of channel conflict.

  • Execute administrative functions to meet deadlines

What you need to Succeed

Qualifications/ Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience

Desired Characteristics

  • Hospitality sales experience

  • Demonstrated ability to grow customer base, sales volume, market share and customer penetration

  • Inclusive, builds and develops strong relationships with team members, business champions and stakeholders

  • Strong external focus with a “customer first” mind set

  • Ability to build strong customer relationships through solution and the “Challenger” Sales techniques

  • Proven negotiating skills, must have a “hunter “focus at driving sales to obtain results

  • Organized and detail oriented, excellent prioritization skills

  • Understanding of the sales organization

  • Analyze competitive product, programs and sales results and communicate to GE headquarters

  • PTAC and Air Conditioning sales experience

  • Experience selling to Contract National Accounts

  • Willingness to relocate
