The RN - Research coordinates administrative and clinical aspects of multiple research projects.
Collaborates with primary investigator, sponsor and research staff to plan, conduct and evaluate project protocols. Monitors and reports on progress of projects as necessary.
Assists with the recruitment of research study participants. Manages the handling and reporting of adverse events, compliance and other participant-related issues.
Coordinates the preparation and delivery of departmental communications, presentations and marketing/educational materials.
Collaborates to ensure compliance with the quality assurance process and with applicable regulations and standards. Assists with responding to and preparing for site visits and audits.
Assists with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards and initiatives for the department.
Drafts, negotiates, and edits research project contracts. Monitors the status of active contracts for renewal, termination and fulfillment of contractual obligations.
Maintains knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory, and administrative requirements and ensures departmental compliance with same.
Serves as a liaison between research and other departments including purchasing, accounting, and human resources to coordinate all required activities for supportive services.
One or more of the following:
Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Graduate of an accredited school of professsional nursing required Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
- 3+ years clinical experience required; research experience preferred.
