Century Ambulance Scheduling Coordinator in Jacksonville, Florida

What you’ll do as a Scheduling Coordinator:

  • Responsible for filling vacant long and short-term schedules based on the Company demand for 24/7 a week calendar

  • Coordinates all changes to same day and future staffing based on staffing levels and demands predicted by the Company. Keep scheduling software updated for employee schedules including working, non-working hours, sick time, leave time and paid time off (PTO)

  • Replace employees as needed for same and next day and notify employees

  • Review and approve or deny PTO requests and replace openings with qualified employees

  • Process schedule changes

  • Coordinate and schedule student ride-alongs

  • Completes reporting as needed

  • Understand scheduling functions in relationship to payroll such as earning codes, PTO and Sick Time, and other Payroll Options

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Mental & Physical Requirements

  • Must be available to work Monday-Friday during normal business hours which includes, but not limited to, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

  • Ability to sit for an extended period and wear a telephone headset

  • Requires frequent repetitive hand movements and prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching and grasping

  • Must be able to hear and communicate clearly to perform job duties in person and over the phone

  • Adequate vision required to be able to read information from printed sources and computer screens

  • Occasional pushing, pulling or moving/lifting up to 50 pounds of heavy supplies and equipment

  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information

  • Understand and respond to a diverse population

  • Utilize fine motor coordination, clear speech, and good visual acuity
