Transportation Supervisor The Transportation Supervisor will supervise the transportation employees as well as schedule, record, and complete necessary follow up on all product deliveries and pick-ups made to and from transportation sites.

Position Shift and Schedule This is a full time permanent position working on our 2nd shift which typically works, Monday through Friday 2pm – 12:30 pm. Flexibility to accommodate the business needs is required.
Position Responsibilities 1. Supervise the transportation employees to include interviewing, hiring, training and development, motivation, counseling, DOT compliance, timely performance evaluations, corrective actions, and terminations. 2. Conduct daily shift meetings/safety training to comply with the Plant Safety Program. 3. Promote and participate in the facility safety program by attending monthly safety committee meetings. 4. Ensure the facility and employees comply with Company safety rules, OSHA and DOT regulations. 5. Manage the receiving and loading of transports, express, LTL and shuttle trucks to include validating the integrity and accuracy by reviewing appropriate forms and paperwork. 6. Review raw material delivery schedules versus production needs tracking inbound loads to ensure availability. 7. Communicate hourly with production, transportation, warehouse, building maintenance and quality management to ascertain support needed. 8. Generate and complete all reports in a timely manner to include time cards, activity reports, damage reports for recoup product, accident reports, corrective actions, employee action forms (EAFs), other personnel reports, branch returns, driver settlement issues, and delivery efficiencies. 9. Provide management with required daily/weekly/monthly reports. 10. Ensure proper housekeeping of the docks, yard, recycle, transportation, and warehouse areas as well as company equipment, department offices, and facility grounds in accordance with plant polices. 11. Drive forklift and jockey trucks in yard as needed. 12. Conduct business in a professional manner specifically when dealing with customers and the public. 13. - 2 years warehouse or transportation supervisory experience* *in a manufacturing / plant setting
- 2 years’ experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Prior experience with SAP
- Prior experience operating forklifts or electric pallet jacks
- Lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly
